Influenza, the flu, often strikes college campuses during critical times such as midterm or final exams. In addition to students missing important classes, sometimes the flu leads to other illnesses such as pneumonia, bronchitis, or ear infections. And, you could bring Influenza home to the older members of your family on winter break! The vaccine is highly effective in preventing the flu and preventing an outbreak. Influenza vaccine is also available in an intranasal form instead of injection. This form of the vaccine must be reserved by calling Intravene. The H1N1 strain which emerged last winter has been included in the seasonal influenza preparations which will be available this fall.
